Listed below are summaries of the recent changes to AASHTO and/or OHD L procedures which impact the OHCMTCB training and certification process. Changes for the 2007-08 season affected procedures for Materials Sampler, Asphalt, Concrete, Soils, and Aggregates.

Soils

The ODOT "Standard Practice for Scalp and Replacament of Oversized Particles for AASHTO T 99 Methods C and D" issued in 2001 is no longer being used. Technicians should disregard that document and follow the procedures in ASSHTO T 99, T 180, and T 224. If you need guidance on the procedures, you may contact Dr. Gerald Miller or Dr. Donald Snethen.
